Our Vitality Champions champion the Vitality Programme in your organisation. They can help you build a healthier and more engaged organisation with newsletters, motivational content and more. The initiative is available for our clients with more than 10 member employees.

We recruit Vitality Champions once a year, when employees ask to join. They’re made up of like-minded members who are passionate about health and wellness. To register your interest for our next intake in 2022, please complete this form

Welcome Day

Vitality will invite selected Vitality Champions to attend our annual Welcome Day. New Champions will meet our wellness team. They will also become part of our Champions community. Champions will also have exclusive access to our Performance Champions.

Performance Champions

Our Performance Champions form part of the Vitality Champions engagement initiative. The Performance Champions are from across many different sporting disciplines. Their role is to motivate your employees to be the best version of themselves. Our Vitality Champions Director, Maggie Alphonsi, leads the Performance Champions team.

Alex Gregory

 Alex is the author of Dadventures. He holds seven Guinness World Records. He has attempted to row across the Arctic Ocean. Alex is also an experienced motivational speaker. He has delivered presentations to many large companies. He speaks about life in Olympic sport and his Artic exploration. Alex talks about motivation, teams, leadership, failure, dealing with pressure and maintaining consistency.

Crista Cullen

Crista is an avid conservationist supporting her Kenyan roots. She spent her childhood in the wilderness of Kenya. These experiences have developed her love for nature. She is an accomplished broadcaster and motivational speaker. Crista has been a TV presenter and featured in wildlife and conservation programmes.

James Hudson

James is studying towards a PhD on Cellular and Molecular Physiology. He founded Nutrition in Sport. Nutrition in Sport is a sports nutrition website. It contains recipes, articles and scientific publications related to sports nutrition. You will need a membership to access the full content.

Modern Pentathlon

Samantha Murray

Samantha Murray is a double Olympian and World Champion in Modern Pentathlon. She took home a Silver Medal during the 2012 Olympics. Sam champions female sport and empowerment. She is passionate about using sport to encourage young people of all backgrounds. Sam is a qualified PT. She enjoys creating online fitness content and leading workout sessions for all abilities.

James Rodwell

James enjoys watching and playing many other sports, especially golf. His sister Sarah has represented England at Lacrosse. James has his own blog where he documents his travels and experience in tournaments all over the world. Gilbert, Get Fruity and Sport Kitchen are some of James' sponsors.

Emma Wiggs

Emma is an Olympic and European Champion in the KL2 200m event and the reigning VL2 200m World Champion.  Emma grew up in Watford and throughout her schooling was very active, excelling at hockey. She contracted a virus when she was 18 that left her with irreparable damaged nerves in her legs. Emma qualified in her chosen career as a PE teacher in 2004. She represented Great Britain at the 2012 London Paralympic Games in sitting volleyball. She discovered canoeing after these games.

Lizzie Simmonds

Lizzie is an experienced public speaker and writer. She mentors young athletes. She also works with schools to provide swimming masterclasses and development opportunities. She is an Athlete Ambassador for a small number of organisations. Lizzie has written content for UK Sport & Metro. She now writes a blog site documenting the life of an athlete after retirement.

Alex Danson-Bennett

Alex Danson-Bennett was the Vice-Captain of the GB hockey team at the Rio Olympics. In 2017, she launched the Alex Danson Hockey Academy. The goal of the academy is to engage with 10,000 young people by 2022. She is an experienced motivational speaker. She delivers to growing and adapting businesses. Alex supports performance improvement and leadership connectivity. She is an ambassador for UK brain injury charity Headways UK.
