Support for your mental wellbeing

Our mental health is important, and crucial for us to be able to lead healthy, happy lives. Whether you're going through a tough time, or want to talk to someone, counselling can help. Our health insurance includes eight online or face-to-face Talking Therapy sessions each plan year. There are several options, depending on your needs, including counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).

Putting you in touch with the right therapist for you

To ensure you’re in the best hands, we work with an expert panel of professional therapists across the UK.

If you’re referred for treatment – or self-refer – we'll arrange a phone-based assessment. This will help the panel to understand the best course of treatment for you.

If you’re referred for face-to-face sessions, our Mental Health Panel will find a therapist close to you.

Counselling is where you talk to someone who helps you think about your situation. This type of treatment benefits people who need support with specific life events, such as relationship issues, bereavement, infertility or serious illness.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) aims to help you think about your life in a positive way. It will also encourage you to change unhelpful patterns of behaviour. CBT is effective for a variety of mental health problems. Including the following:

Depression
Anxiety
Panic attacks
Phobias
Obsessive compulsive disorder
Post-traumatic stress disorder and some eating disorders.
