Rakuten TV reward help
Am I eligible for the Rakuten TV reward?
This Reward is available to any adult member with one of the following plans:
- Any personal health insurance plan with a minimum monthly premium of £35 or more
- Any business health insurance plan excluding Vitality Essentials and Vitality at Work
- Any corporate health insurance plan or healthcare trust with Vitality Plus
- Any life insurance plan with Vitality Plus
- A Vitality car insurance plan.
I’m a VitalityCar member, am I eligible for this reward?
Yes, VitalityCar only Plan Holders can earn one Rakuten TV rental movie voucher a week. VitalityCar members will need to earn 32 Vitality points a week to qualify.
If I live in Northern Ireland, am I eligible for this reward?
Yes, eligible Northern Ireland members have access to this reward.
When will I receive my movie voucher?
You can earn up to two on demand movie rental codes a week if you achieve 12 activity points or 32 Good Driving points. You will receive your code(s) the following Thursday.
Can I get a Rakuten TV voucher each week?
Yes, one adult per family can earn one voucher per week if they earn 12 activity points. Members who are also Vitality Car plan holders can earn a second rental movie voucher if they achieve 32 Good Driving points a week.
If I have more than one person on my plan, how many vouchers can we get a week?
You can receive one voucher a week for the whole family to enjoy a film together. That’s four movies a month if the linked adult on your plan earns 12 activity points a week.
I’m on a family plan – who will receive the voucher?
Only one adult on a plan can be registered for the Rakuten TV reward. The linked person will be able to get their voucher in the Vitality Member app each Thursday.

I signed up for the reward this week, when will I get my voucher?
You can start earning Vitality activity points towards your voucher during the week you sign up, and if you earn enough Vitality activity points, you’ll get your voucher on the following Thursday.
Can my movie voucher be used for all rental films on Rakuten TV?
You can enjoy hundreds of Rakuten TV movies on us. Only selected Home Premiere movies aren’t included.
How do I redeem my movie voucher?
You can now receive your rental movie code and track your reward in the Vitality Member app. Download the app and follow the instructions on Member Zone. You'll then need to link your Rakuten TV email ID to Vitality. Your rental movie code will then be available within the app if you reach 12 activity points in a week.

- Visit the Rakuten Vitality landing page, and log into your Rakuten TV account on their website using your Rakuten TV username and password. Please don’t enter your code straight on a device or on your TV.
- Select the movie you want to watch by clicking on the thumbnail image of the item.
- On the movie information page, click on the ‘Redeem Voucher’ button
- Enter your voucher code making sure you don’t enter any spaces before or after the code
- Your movie is ready and will be available for 48 hours. Whether you want to watch it on your smart TV or other device, you’ll find it in the Rakuten ‘My Library’ section.

I don’t use the Vitality Member app, how can I track my points?
New members to the Rakuten TV reward can only track their points through the Vitality Member app. Download the Vitality Member app to follow your points.
Can I change who on my plan is earning the points towards the Rakuten TV benefit?
Only one person on your plan can be registered but you can change who earns the reward. The linked member will need to phone us on 0345 602 3523 to delink.
I’m a Vitality car insurance member, why are are my Vitality points not showing towards my Rakuten TV reward?
Firstly, please make sure your Good Driving Sensor is connected properly.
If your trip is showing in the Vitality Member app, wait for the following day for the points to appear. If your trip took place overnight, it could take a further day for the points to appear.

I’m a Vitality car insurance member, how do I earn points towards the reward?
You can earn up to six Vitality points for driving well per day. The fewer "driving events" you have during the day, the higher your points tally.
Driving events include harsh acceleration, braking, cornering or speeding. Distracted driving will also be recorded as a driving event. Members who don’t drive at all on a particular day will get the full six Vitality points.

I’m already signed up for the Rakuten TV reward, why do I have to relink?
We’ve made improvements to the way members can enjoy their Rakuten TV reward. This does mean some members may need to re-register for the Rakuten TV reward. They'll be able to track their progress and redeem their vouchers in the Vitality member app. Only one person on your plan can be registered for the benefit. Whoever is registered will need to earn the Vitality points and receive the reward.
If there is already someone linked on your plan receiving the weekly voucher, we’ve delinked your Rakuten TV account in the Member Zone. Your household can still enjoy a reward movie every Thursday. The person linked on the plan will need to earn 12 weekly activity points.

What if I haven’t synced my device by Sunday evening?
We calculate eligible members’ points again on a Wednesday, to see if enough points have been earned for the reward. If you have, you’ll be issued a movie voucher on the Wednesday and it will be valid for seven days.
How do I update my email address?
You can now receive your Rakuten TV movie code(s) in the Vitality Member app. Sign up to track your reward in the app in Member Zone.
If you receive your Rakuten TV movie code via email, we will send your code(s) to the email address you have registered with Vitality. If you need to update your email address please do so on the My details page in Member Zone.
We may text your voucher to the mobile phone number attached to your Vitality account.

Why am I no longer earning the Rakuten TV benefit?
To bring more consistency to how we give out Active Rewards, we’ve made a change to our Rakuten TV movie reward.
From April, only one person on a plan can be registered for the Rakuten benefit. Whoever is registered will need to earn the Vitality points and will receive the reward.
Why can’t I find my Rakuten TV email?
There could be a number of reasons you can’t find your Rakuten TV email – please check:
- You’re receiving other non-policy related emails from Vitality
- Your Junk folder – you may need to add members@email.vitality.co.uk to your ‘safe sender list’
- Your email address is correct – we send your voucher to the email address associated with your Vitality account. If you need to update your email address, please do so on the My details page in Member Zone. Occasionally, we may text your voucher to the mobile phone number associated with your Vitality account. If you need to update your mobile number, please go to the My Details page in Member Zone.
- Your inbox has enough space to receive new emails.
I am a Vitality car insurance member, how do I link my Good Driving sensor?
- Open the Vitality Member app, hold the sensor close to your phone.
- Press and hold the button on the front of the sensor. A light should then come on – tap “find me sensor” in the app.
- Once the sensor is linked, you will then need to confirm your sensor’s serial number in the app. The serial number can be found on the side of the Good Driving sensor.
- Finally, place your sensor on the inside of your windscreen. Please make sure it does not block your view.
Why can’t I redeem my voucher in the Rakuten TV app on my device or on my TV?
You can only redeem your voucher through the Vitality landing page. Please don’t enter your code on a device or on your TV:
- Click on the film you want to watch on the Rakuten website
- Select ‘Redeem voucher’
- Enter your code and click ‘Confirm’
- The film will be added to your Rakuten ‘My Library’ for 48 hours
- You can then watch your film from any device by logging into your Rakuten account and going to ‘My Library’.
Why have I not received my voucher code this week?
Please check the Vitality Member app where you can track your progress towards the reward. You'll also be able to and redeem your movie rental code(s) in the app.
